Last night someone broke into my house while I was
sleeping and stole my laptop and tablet the cord to my phone and I'm at 31
percent now so can't do much more communicating.
I'm so sorry that this happened. I still pray for you.
I posted this on Facebook a year ago today. I so admire you.
I met a remarkable 77 year old woman a few weeks ago that made a huge mark on my life. She was having an estate sale selling ALL her belongings and preparing to move to Africa to serve the Lord in missionary work (yes, at 77 years old!). She invited me back yesterday to pack up what didn’t sell, and she wanted to donate it to our Adoption Fundraiser garage sale that we are having in August for little Pearl. It was very humbling. It wasn’t junk she was giving me. It was things like paintings she got in Italy, crystal, silver, her doll collection, etc. I had to stop and cry while I packed as she remembered special things about each item as I packed it (as I left her I was bawling also). She taught me at least three things: 1) Give your best to others, whether it be of your time, yourself, or even material items. 2) One never gets too old to serve God and others. 3) Sometimes we are asked by God to sacrifice BIG in order to do what He wants us to do. (She is leaving children and grandchildren, her church, friends, and her home). Hats off to you, Ms. Elizabeth!!!! My prayers are with you!!!! May God bless your new adventure! Debra Dixon
